Organizations interested in obtaining licence for Environmental Management Systems (EMS) as per IS/ISO 14001 should ensure that they are operating the EMS according to this standard and ensure its effectiveness by conducting minimum one internal audit and one management review.

The organization should apply on the prescribed proforma (Form IV) and a supplementary questionnaire (Form VII) duly filled in along with the documented Environmental Management System (such as Environmental manual, etc.). The application and questionnaire shall be submitted in duplicate along with necessary application fee to Dy. Director General (Regional Offices) of the Region in which the organization belongs.
